Greetings again!

I know I’ve been away for a long time. Life has been interesting in the past year for quite a few of us, but let’s not dwell on that too long. Basically here I’m posting to say that I’ve finally updated My Teddy Bear Story website with a few new photos & info.

I’ve had a few people email me either with information or for sale items & photo to use. Plus my own new acquisitions have been waiting to get their own spot on the website.

Here are a few glimpses...

Hoping that you all are doing well.

Hello

I know I’ve been gone a long time, & truth be told I’ve been very busy. I did find out some more of the names to various bears, & I also now have a Grandpa bear in box!

You can find the majority of the names on my website

New Additions

Recently I was able to purchase a bulk lot of figures which included some I have been searching for & some I didn't know existed!

I have only seen these white rabbit parents for sale twice, & the second time I bought them!!

I don't know exactly who this is yet, but this little lady won my heart as soon as I set eyes on her & her little chicky!

Big sister Maggie came out to play & have her photo taken.

I was especially nervous getting these two out of their box, as they had never been opened before! Once the photos were done they hopped safe back.

The family all together, don't look the sweetest!!

This little fellow is quite cute in his jumpsuit, if anyone knows his name please let me know!

Uncle Rob (as far as I know)
I believe this is Aunt Lottie, but I could be mistaken. I now have all four types of mother bear in the Teddy bear Story series

Another little mystery bear, still such a sweetie!

I've found the details for Matt!

Another mystery solved!

The middle bear in this photo is Molly, I have her & the desk as well. Now to wait & see if I find out who the other two are!

Here it is...

Yes, here is what I was waiting for! Her name is Maggie (as you can see on her box) & she if part of the 1987 Easter release of Teddy Bear Story. Like most of my TBS she has travelled here from the USA, I don't know how rare or common she is as I've only seen this 1 advertised. (but she could be very common in some parts of the USA, I don't know).
I love her beautiful Spring/Easter outfit, it's more details than the other ones I've seen in the Easter release. (on the parents & small rabbits)

Unfortunately the box is a bit worse for wear, but I'm very thankful to have it anyway as each character has a mini story on the box as well as the item number.

Even poor Maggie was a bit grubby, but still totally adorable!

A little DIY

Lately I've felt in a rather DIY mood & as my new wooden Bärenwald house came without a table (and official ones are difficult to find in Australia), I decided to make one. Also I'm a big believer in re-using the materials we have on hand, so I scrounged around the house & found some wooden Childrens blocks that would make a good table.

I glued 2 together & painted them slightly

Here is an example of the natural colour before painting (also this is going to be the table base)

Then as the table top wasn't quite the colour tone I wanted I decided to lacquer it. A easy cheap lacquer to use on wood is a clear nail polish. It has its own brush & is good for small projects.
Here it is after the first coat.

This is a chair I'm trying to match the table to.

Currently I'm waiting for the second coat of lacquer to dry & then I will glue the top & base together. (I use PVA+ Woodworking glue)
